Stillpoint AEC is partnering with a fast-growing MEP consulting engineering firm to identify an Electrical Design Engineer for its Dallas office. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a firm known for delivering innovative, high-performance building systems across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects.


The Electrical Design Engineer will support the design and coordination of electrical systems for commercial, hospitality, multifamily, mixed-use, healthcare, and industrial developments. This role is ideal for someone with current experience in electrical design within an MEP or AEC consulting environment who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and technology-driven setting.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
  • Prepare engineering calculations including load analysis and electrical system coordination
  • Develop construction documents including plans, specifications, and technical reports
  • Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural teams for integrated project delivery
  • Support projects from schematic design through construction administration
  • Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and participate in project coordination meetings
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, energy codes, and applicable standards
  • Utilize Revit and BIM/VDC workflows for project coordination and design development
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Contribute to efficient, innovative, and constructible electrical system solutions


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • Current experience in electrical design within an MEP or AEC consulting environment
  • EIT preferred
  • Experience designing building electrical systems for commercial, hospitality, multifamily, industrial, healthcare, or mixed-use projects preferred
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software
  • Strong understanding of NEC and applicable building codes
  • Familiarity with BIM/VDC coordination workflows preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
