  • Design plumbing systems including:
  • Domestic water systems (cold/hot water, booster systems, recirculation)
  • Sanitary waste and vent systems
  • Storm drainage systems
  • Natural gas systems (as applicable)
  • Develop SD, DD, and CD construction documents using Revit
  • Perform plumbing calculations, equipment sizing, and system layout development
  • Coordinate plumbing design with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams
  • Lead technical resolution of design issues during coordination phases
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction administration
  • Support site visits and field coordination as required
  • Assist in maintaining internal QA/QC standards for deliverables
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to technical development of the team

๐ŸŽฏ Qualifications

  • 5โ€“10+ years of plumbing design experience in MEP consulting engineering
  • Strong experience in commercial, healthcare, high-rise, or institutional projects
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes (UPC / CPC / NFPA as applicable)
  • Experience producing construction documents and supporting construction administration
  • Strong coordination skills across multiple disciplines

โญ Preferred Experience

  • EIT or PE license (not required but strongly preferred)
  • Healthcare project experience (hospitals, outpatient, surgical centers)
  • High-rise residential or mixed-use developments
  • Experience in large-scale BIM coordination environments

๐Ÿ’ฐ Compensation & Benefits

  • $135,000 โ€“ $175,000 base salary (DOE)
  • Performance bonus potential
  • Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision)
  • 401(k) with employer contribution
  • Hybrid work flexibility (project-dependent)
  • PTO + paid holidays

๐Ÿš€ Why This Role

This is a true technical growth role, not just production support. You will:

  • Work on complex, high-visibility Bay Area building projects
  • Stay hands-on in design while growing leadership responsibility
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers across multiple disciplines
  • Gain exposure to healthcare, commercial, and institutional work at a high level
  • Be part of a team that values technical quality and design ownership
