Job description

The Associate Brand Marketing Manager is a key stakeholder in menu innovation and marketing strategy and execution, playing an integral role in shaping the future of sweetgreen. This position will be a key contributing member of the Brand Marketing team by supporting complex, cross-functional workstreams across our menu calendar, go-to-market campaigns, brand experiences, and product launches. This role will also manage cross-functional relationships and own brand and business performance analysis within the competitive landscape.

The Associate Brand Manager will be a part of the Brand team. You'll be joining a team that manages the organizational menu and marketing calendar, with a guest-obsessed, culturally driven mindset. Join us for the opportunity to make your mark on the future of food.

As the Associate Brand Manager, you will:

Brand Strategy and Creative Development

  • Develop assignment briefs and brand strategy across new launches and ongoing menu programs, translating consumer and competitive insights into clear creative direction for internal teams and agency partners

  • Lead go-to-market planning and 360 execution for new product launches, partnering with channel teams across CRM, Loyalty/Digital, Social, and Marketplace to drive integrated rollouts

  • Foster a high-functioning working relationship with the internal Creative team and agency partners, managing feedback loops and approvals to bring breakthrough campaigns to life on time and on brand

Menu Innovation

  • Collaborate closely with the Culinary, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams on menu innovation and ongoing menu optimization initiatives, driving ideation, consumer positioning, and launch readiness

  • Support annual marketing calendar management and lead performance reporting across launches

  • Own product financials for relevant menu programs, contributing a clear financial understanding of the business

Project and Process Management

  • Manage cross-functional communications, project timelines, and workback schedules to ensure seamless execution across all programs

  • Track and manage budgets across owned programs, including spend, POs, and reconciliation in partnership with Accounting

  • Bring a business owner mindset to every program, balancing creative ambition with financial and operational reality

  • Experience in using consumer insights and data to drive decision-making

  • Comfortable with data analytics and product financials

Desired experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field

  • 3-4 years of experience in a Brand Management or similar Marketing role (brand marketing, integrated marketing, content strategy, or campaign management)
