RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian at Adult Day Health Care Center
Join the dedicated team at RD Nutrition Consultants LLC and make a meaningful impact on the well-being of older adults! We are seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time Clinical Registered Dietitian to provide essential nutritional care at an Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a dietitian looking for a consistent part-time schedule with a blend of on-site and remote work.

Schedule: Flexible, approximately 4-5 hours per week (20% remote).

Flexibility: Choose your days and hours, during business hours. Only 1 short onsite visit weekly is required.

Compensation: $40.00 - $47.00 per hour, depending on experience.  

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct periodic nutritional assessments for incoming participants with specialized diet orders, focusing on geriatric nutrition and chronic disease management.
  • Develop and review menus to ensure they meet USDA guidelines (information will be provided).
  • Perform monthly kitchen sanitation audits using a provided checklist to ensure compliance.
  • Provide nutritional counseling to participants during on-site visits or through inservices as needed.
  • Review and sign off on the facility menu.
  • Utilize remote time for finalizing audits, menu review, and preparation for education or inservices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition care as needed.
  • Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Current state licensure/certification in California (if mandated).
  • Experience in geriatric nutrition and chronic disease management is highly preferred.
  • Experience with conducting dietary assessments and developing menus for facilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with participants, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to assess objectives and develop effective nutrition care plans.
  • Proficiency in providing general nutrition education and counseling.
  • Familiarity with state survey processes and adhering to nutrition care regulations.
