Job description

Old Town Pub in the heart of Bordentown City is looking for a part-time Assistant Cook to join our cooking team. We're a well-known local spot that combines history with a modern dining experience.

Assistant Cook Must-Haves:

  • 3+ years of kitchen leadership experience
  • Experience with menu development, training, and mentorship
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain food quality and consistency
  • Commitment to upholding kitchen standards and smooth operations

Responsibilities Include:

As a part-time Assistant Cook, you will help manage daily kitchen operations and make sure food quality and consistency are always maintained. You will assist with staff management, training, and menu development while keeping a clean and organized work area. You will communicate with the kitchen team to keep everything running smoothly and step into a leadership role when the Head Chef is not available. Each day, you will help make sure guests receive the same great experience Old Town Pub is known for.

What We offer:

This cooking position pays $20 to $24 per hour and offers paid time off!

This is a part-time dining position. Shifts will vary but will be within normal business hours, including some evenings and weekends. Business hours are generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and flexibility is needed to meet the needs of the kitchen.
