What You Will Do:

As a Nutritional Care Ambassador, you will serve as a vital link between nursing units and the Nutritional Care Department, ensuring each patient's dietary needs are communicated and met with care and accuracy. Your role includes:

  • Visiting assigned patients to assist with menu selections and offering alternative food choices.

  • Recording diet changes and completing menu selections within scheduled timelines.

  • Compiling and communicating accurate menu data to food production staff.

  • Monitoring and delivering labeled nourishments to nursing units and maintaining nourishment inventory.

  • Preparing patient trays and setting up tray lines according to dietary guidelines and portion standards.

  • Delivering and retrieving meal trays with attention to etiquette and patient satisfaction.

  • Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment, including correct equipment use and adherence to infection control protocols.

  • Reporting patient concerns to the Clinical Nutritionist and completing all other assigned duties.
