From Hooper Hospitality Concepts, Night Rooster is an elevated Chinese restaurant and lounge located in the Dallas Design District. Led by acclaimed Chef Shirley Chung, the restaurant celebrates classic Chinese cuisine through a refined menu that honors traditional flavors while showcasing the finest Texas-sourced ingredients.
Complementing the culinary experience is a thoughtfully curated beverage program featuring an extensive selection of Asian whiskies, international wines, and premium sake, alongside an array of house-made mixers, infusions, and signature cocktails.
The restaurant's design blends contemporary sophistication with Asian-inspired influences. Rich textures, warm woods, iron ore brick, and dramatic lighting create a dark, moody atmosphere reminiscent of the glamour and intrigue of the Orient Express, offering guests an immersive dining experience that is both elegant and unforgettable.
Position Summary
Our servers are the heart of our front of house and provide quality service, and memorable hospitality that our guests have come to love. 
 
What we are looking for: 
  • Greet guests with a welcoming smile, be engaging with our guests
  • Must be fully knowledgeable of our food & beverage menus, selling techniques and service delivery of all items.  Guide guests with recommendations for any allergy issues and accurately take guests orders 
  • Evaluate proper identification of guests to insure they are of proper drinking age
  • Full working knowledge of our POS system, able to enter guest orders accurately with correct seat numbers, itemize bills correctly and efficiently secure cash and other forms of  payment
  • Able to assist with food running to bar and dining room tables. 
  • Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.  Maintain table cleanliness utilizing a silent service approach 
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned areas, side stations, tables and Point of Sale (POS) stations
  • Communicate with FOH & BOH Management in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests
  • Responsible for preparing table side cocktails when necessary. 
  • Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings
  • All other duties assigned. 

Ideal Candidate:
  • Must have at least one year of prior fine dining serving experience
  • Must have a strong passion for food, beverage and service
  • Knowledgeable of menu items, including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
  • Candidates must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years old
  • Must be a team player and have a positive attitude
  • Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, must be able to work weekends, and holidays
