Position Summary
The Men's Basketball Graduate Assistant is responsible for duties including but not limited to assistance with travel plans, set up for games & practices, managing equipment, game and practice video, on-court duties, social media, community service, and organizing team events. The Men's Basketball Graduate Assistant reports to the Head Men's Basketball Coach.
Essential Functions
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Assistance with travel plans;
  • Set up for games & practices;
  • Managing equipment, game and practice video;
  • On-court duties;
  • Social media;
  • Community service;
  • Organizing team events;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to anticipate needs and provide solutions;
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures;
  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA

Required Education
Current UIW graduate student.
Required Work Experience
Prior basketball playing or managing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
None.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
None.
Work Hours
  • Monday - Friday up to 25 hours.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.

Physical Demands
Ability to lift equipment, tools, and/or materials weighing up to 25 pounds waist high.
