Job Description
The Assistant Mens Basketball Coach aids in the growth and development of the mens basketball program and its student-athletes by assisting with the planning and direction of team activities. The primary duty of the Assistant Mens Basketball Coach is instructing student-athletes in the skills and strategies unique to competition in the sport.
Required Qualifications
*Bachelors degree.
Preferred Qualifications
*Successful background as a basketball player and/or coach at the NCAA Division I, II, or III level; *Thorough knowledge of the sport; *Strong communication and organizational skills; *Knowledge of NCAA and South Atlantic Conference rules and regulations; *CPR certified.

*Work nights, weekends, and early mornings; *Long periods of travel.

Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;

Assist the Head Coach in the overall operations of the program;

Engage in instruction of sport skills and strategies to develop student-athletes athletically;

Plan and conduct individual and team practice sessions;

Assist in the preparation of and execution of individual and team film review sessions;

Monitor student-athlete progress evaluation, individual workouts, and study hall;

Monitor student-athletes while in the weight room and assist with maintaining the upkeep of the weight room;

Develop and coordinate the academic success program for student-athletes in need of academic assistance;

Participate in the recruitment of student-athletes;

Participate in efforts to collect, analyze and report data for the athletic department as part of the University s planning, assessment and evaluation processes for institutional effectiveness;

Assist in the production of outcomes assessment and long range planning for the athletic department;

Assist with the completion of required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University;

Teach up to six (6) credit hours of appropriate University and/or J. Frank White Academy courses, or the equivalent thereof;

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and the Athletic Director.
