Job Summary
Job Summary
The Women's Basketball Graduate Assistant position shall be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the women's basketball program.
The GA will assist with recruiting, game planning, and all aspects of the Division II Basketball program in compliance with all NCAA, MEC Conference and institutional rules and regulations.
This position is open to Concord Graduate Students only. Full tuition waiver plus competitive stipend provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duty/Responsibility
  • Assist with practice planning and coaching during team practices
  • Assist with the monitoring of weight room and strength training programs
  • Assist with the organization and coordination of on-campus recruitment of prospective student-athletes and coordination of all recruitment mailings and correspondence
  • Assist program staff and assistant coaches with team travel needs
  • Coordinate with equipment and coaching staffs to ensure the organization of practice and travel gear
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Women's Coach

Job Requirements:
-Applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
-Applicants will be required to be accepted and enroll in a Graduate level program at Concord University.
-Candidates will have a working knowledge of the game of basketball, playing experience preferred but not required.
-Applicants must have strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
-Candidate will abide by all University and NCAA Rules and Regulations and laws of the state of West Virginia.
