This is a high-speed, high-output role for someone who can take a breaking headline at 9:07am and turn it into a viral post by 9:12. Youโ€™ll report directly to the editorial/audience lead and be responsible for creating content that doesnโ€™t just react to the conversation, but shapes it. If youโ€™re terminally online, politically sharp, and actually funny (not โ€œbrand funnyโ€), this is for you.

  • Be available when the moment calls for it

Own the platforms (Reddit-first)

  • Post and optimize content across subreddits and social platforms
  • Understand tone, format, and what works where
  • Engage when it helps performance, know when to lean in and when to stay invisible

Bring ideas, not just execution

  • Pitch concepts in daily brainstorms
  • Spot trends before they peak
  • Find smart, unexpected ways to insert messaging into culture

Get better every week

  • Pay attention to what hits and what flops
  • Use feedback and performance to sharpen your instincts
  • Continuously evolve your formats, tone, and approach

Requirements

Requirements

  • 2โ€“5 years making memes or social content (politics, media, or culture preferred)
  • Deep fluency in internet culture, formats, and platform dynamics
  • Strong grasp of U.S. politics and the daily news cycle
  • Proven ability to be fast and good
  • A real sense of humor (you know the difference)
  • Strong copy instincts.. short, sharp, and scroll-stopping
  • Proficiency in tools like Photoshop, Canva, CapCut, or similar
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, feedback-heavy environment

Benefits

Benefits

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience $65k - $80k
  • Full health insurance coverage and dental/vision benefits.
  • 401k retirement savings plan with company match.
  • Generous paid vacation and 14 annual company holidays.
  • Monthly wellness stipend.
