KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and team members while accurately operating the point-of-sale system within the hospital cafeteria. 
  • This position supports daily cafeteria operations by handling cash transactions, stocking products, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, assisting with food service activities, and ensuring a welcoming dining environment. 
  • The Cashier plays an important role in promoting a positive customer experience while supporting food safety and regulatory compliance requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.

  • No experience is required. 

  • Prior food service experience is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.

  • Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.

  • Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.

  • Requires the ability to climb ladders.

  • Physical requirements to include reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment.
