MRA (The Management Association) is seeking a Member Relations Advisor to join our team.

As the largest employer association in the nation, MRA helps more than 5,000 employers navigate today's workplace challenges through trusted HR expertise, training, consulting, talent solutions, and member resources. For more than 125 years, we've helped organizations build stronger workplaces, and we're just getting started.

As a Member Relations Advisor, you will serve as a trusted resource and relationship manager for current and prospective members. You'll help organizations maximize the value of their membership by connecting them to MRA's broad portfolio of services, identifying solutions to meet their business needs, and building strong, long-term partnerships. This role combines member engagement, relationship management, business development, and customer service in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

This flexible, hybrid role combines office-based work with virtual and in-person member interactions throughout your assigned territory, which includes Waukesha, La Crosse, Eau Claire, and Wausau. Qualifications

Required

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: One to two years of experience in customer service, account management, membership services, business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Relationship Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • CRM Experience: Experience utilizing CRM systems, databases, or customer relationship management platforms.
  • Competencies: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to travel periodically to member locations, networking events, conferences, and organizational activities.

Preferred

  • Experience: Experience working in an association, membership-based organization, nonprofit, or professional services environment.
  • Technical Skills: Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Business Development: Experience supporting membership recruitment, retention, account management, or business development initiatives.
  • Events: Experience supporting conferences, trade shows, networking events, or member engagement programs.
  • Marketing & Communications: Experience creating member communications, newsletters, or promotional materials.
  • Analytics: Experience utilizing membership reports, engagement metrics, or CRM data to support decision-making.
