Automotive Service Technician

Location: Arlington, TX

Position Overview

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of every customer. You’ll work alongside a knowledgeable team in a well-equipped shop, with opportunities for training and advancement.


Key Responsibilities
  • Examine vehicles and accurately diagnose mechanical issues

  • Communicate repair needs with the shop foreman and service advisor

  • Estimate labor time and discuss additional service requirements

  • Complete thorough documentation and repair stories for each job

  • Mentor technician trainees and attend factory and company training

  • Stay current with technical bulletins and manufacturer updates

  • Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding safety and environmental standards


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED

  • 2+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and efficiency in a fast-paced environment


Requirements
  • Valid Operator Driver’s License

  • Valid State Inspection License

  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including Saturdays if required

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing physical shop work

  • Must pass a background check and be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Compensation: Flag rate per hour 

  • Schedule: Full-time
