Position Overview

MEI Group is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Parts Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, ordering, receiving, and managing automotive parts required for vehicle service and reconditioning. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while ensuring technicians have the parts they need to keep repairs moving efficiently.

What You'll Do
  • Build accurate parts estimates based on technician repair needs.
  • Source and order parts from aftermarket, dealership, and salvage vendors.
  • Receive, inspect, verify, and inventory incoming parts deliveries.
  • Create and maintain core and warranty tags for installed parts.
  • Process and manage parts returns while ensuring proper documentation.
  • Track parts orders and communicate estimated arrival times (ETAs) to technicians and service advisors.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure parts are organized and properly stored.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.
  • Assist with inventory counts and other departmental duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive parts ordering, parts coordination, or a similar role.
  • Experience with ReconPro, PartsTech, RepairLink, or AllData Repair is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with computers, email, and dealership software systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, including repeated lifting of 20 pounds or more.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and sit for extended periods as required.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check and verify authorization to work in the United States.
