Job description

Job Summary and Qualifications

Travel & Location Requirements: Ability to travel 75% of the time for site assessments and go-lives. Candidates must reside within 160 miles of an HCA Healthcare hospital.

As the Meditech Expanse Operational SME (Subject Matter Expert), you will serve as a critical leadership liaison for Parallon during high-impact facility installations and upgrades. In this role, you will be the primary authority on Acute Patient Access workflows, specifically driving standardization for registration, scheduling, and insurance verification processes.

You will leverage your background in hospital operations to identify productivity enhancements and cost-reduction opportunities while ensuring compliance with HITECH and Meaningful Use regulations. This position requires a professional with a "consultant mindset" who can lead site assessments, support onsite go-live events, and manage relationships between Corporate leadership, IT&S, and facility-based personnel.

What you will do in this role:

  • Work with Parallon BPG Corporate leadership, SSC Leadership during system installations and upgrades related to scheduling and registration processes to ensure that SSC operations are efficient and cost effective
  • Communicate project status to Parallon BPG and SSC leadership
  • Drive decision making for application and service specific decisions pertaining to process, implementation, and design while working in collaboration with all appropriate stakeholders
  • Participate in various testing cycles (functional, unit, integrated, parallel, end-to-end, regression testing and user acceptance testing)
  • Collaborate with the Education Team in the design and development of role-based training programs to support the workflows to be implemented
  • Evaluate end-users on proper use of the application and support end-users onsite during go-live events
  • Monitor performance indicators to identify areas of risk and opportunity, provide support to facility and SSC throughout system transition
  • Develop best practice documentation and implementation plans
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of PTAC processes and align with SSC business and budget requirements, including process design and standardization
  • Actively communicate with division, facility and corporate stakeholders in managing system installations and upgrades
  • Create, administer and maintain management reports reflecting accuracy and timeliness of PTAC processes
  • Contribute to training and education materials for use in facility and SSC training
  • Plan, coordinate and hold meetings with key stakeholders to ensure optimal performance across all key PTAC interfacing processes throughout the implementation/upgrade
What qualifications you will need:
  • B.S. in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial, operational and system processes related to A/R Management.
  • Scheduling, and/or Patient Access Registration experience required
