Job Summary:

The Medication Technician/Caregiver will be responsible for administering medication to patients and providing care and support to them. The ideal candidate will have experience in medication administration and caregiving, as well as a compassionate and patient demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication to patients as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to medication and report to healthcare professionals as necessary
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Document medication administration and patient care in accordance with facility policies and procedures
  • Communicate with healthcare professionals and family members regarding patient care and medication administration
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Medication Technician certification
  • Experience in medication administration and caregiving
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Be available every other weekend.
  • Be able to read and write english
  • Be aware that the medication technician does not only pass medication.
  • Also assists with caregiving when needed.
