Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Radiologic Technologist Trainee who perform radiographic procedures employing the use of x-rays to produce images of various parts of the body for the diagnosis of pathological and traumatic disorders. Positions in this classification serve under training conditions while acquiring the necessary skills, and knowledge to quality for promotion to Radiologic Technologist. This is a trainee level classification.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles),Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility;applicants must indicate their shift availability in the Supplemental Questionnaire of the application. Shift differentials are provided.
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical and verification of employment history and education.
Licensed/Certifications: Incumbents must posses and maintain all licenses required by their classification per the minimum requirements below and per regulations applicable to their classifications and specialty assignments. Must obtain a State Fluoro license within six (6) months of hire date.
Trainee Level: Incumbents in the Radiologic Technologist Trainee classification are eligible for promotion to Radiologic Technologist upon receipt of a satisfactory work progress report. Incumbents must be promoted within twelve (12) months or be terminated.
Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
Minimum Requirements
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS & LICENSES
  • State of California, Department of Public Health as a Radiologic Technologist Certification
  • Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Health Association
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

ARMC STUDENTS/GRADUATES
Applications will be accepted for Radiologic Technologist Trainee from students enrolled in or graduated from ARMC's Radiologic Technology program who have passed the ARRT National Board examination OR who have registered to take the ARRT National Board examination; examination date must be within one month of application. Job offers may be made contingent upon obtaining all the required certifications as stated above.

  • Proof of enrollment or graduation from the ARMC Radiologic Technology Program (attach degree, current transcript, or student ID card/number).
