Project Overview:

Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects. As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity, Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model, strategic partnerships, and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Partnering with Bechtel means lower cost, shorter delivery schedules, and greater certainty of outcomes for our customers

Job Summary:

The Medical Services Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of on-site medical services and the management of the health services subcontractor, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations, applicable regulatory requirements, and organizational standards. This position isnon-clinical, but rather a hands-onrole focused on the coordination, supervision, and governance of medical service delivery rather than the provision of direct clinical care.The Coordinator provides leadership in medical operations, quality assurance, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvement across all project medical facilities. Through structured oversight, effective collaboration with key stakeholders, and the implementation of established programs and procedures, the role contributes to the ongoing support of workforce health, safety, and well-being.The Medical Services Coordinator will report directly to the Project ES&H Manager

Major Responsibilities:
  • Support the mobilization, setup, commissioning, and turnover of onsite medical facilities in alignment with project schedules and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Medical, Health, and Medical Services (CMHMS) and subcontracted providers to establish fully functional site clinics that meet regulatory and contractual standards.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with the approved scope of work, quality expectations, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct quarterly audits of medical services, facilities, and documentation to evaluate compliance, performance, and quality of care.
  • Conduct quarterly internal audits.
  • Prepare audit reports, identify gaps or risks, and develop corrective action plans; monitor progress to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide required reports, metrics, and updates to the Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Manager to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation of company Core Processes as applicable.
  • Assist in incident investigations as required, including reviewing medical aspects, contributing to root cause analysis, and supporting corrective actions.
    Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of site-specific medical emergency response procedures and protocols.
    Ensure ongoing readiness of emergency medical services onsite, Participate in emergency drills and preparedness activities as required, to validate response effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of workforce well-being initiatives and the company Mental Health Program.
  • Support initiatives that promote overall employee health, engagement, and productivity.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Program (MSIPP), ensuring proper training, compliance, and integration into daily operations.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and recommend enhancements based on workforce needs and performance data.
  • Collaborate effectively with project leadership, site teams, and medical services subcontractor.
  • Serve as a key liaison between medical services and other project functions to ensure alignment with safety, operational, and regulatory goals.
  • Foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and teamwork across disciplines, promoting open communication and shared accountability.
  • Adhere to all organizational ethical principles and standards related to the delivery and oversight of on-site health services.
  • Represent the organization in a professional manner in all internal and external interactions.
  • Uphold, promote, and actively communicate the organization's mission, values, and strategic objectives.
  • Exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in all aspects of the role and decision-making processes.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in nursing and5-8 years of relevant experience in occupational health and emergencynursing in occupational health and emergency nursing, and a validnursing license for the location assigned

  • Clinic management in an occupational health setting
  • Subcontracts management and oversite.
  • Developing and implementing well-being programs / mental health well-being programs
  • Knowledge of the workers compensation process
  • Conducting clinical and quality assessments on health services
