Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Program Coordinator, Medical Education manages the day-to-day operations related to house-staff (residents and fellows) and medical student rotations. The incumbent works with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to maintain oversight and compliance with all accrediting and regulatory bodies in support of medical student and house-staff rotations. Maintains appropriate oversight and daily management of all medial education programs.

Key Job Responsibilities

Essential Function

The Program Coordinator, Medical Education functions as the first contact liaison to medical student, residents, and fellows entering the Regional One Healthcare organization.

Serves as the liaison between Regional One Health and all affiliated medical schools.

Manages all medical education activities through the Chief Medical Officer including activities to support high reliability and sustainability for patient safety.

Supports and coordinates activities to support Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) certification.

Organizes and executes orientation for all medical students, residents, and fellows.

Organizes, communicates, and monitors compliance on educational materials.

Manages meal allowance process and manages monthly allocations.

Coordinates onboarding activities and approves access to ROH’s election medical record.

Prepares necessary reports including quarterly report to Medical Staff Executive Committee.

Tracks all rotations to support billing and cost reporting.

Coordinates meetings between students, program directors, program coordinators, and ROH departments as indicated.

Manages compliance program requirements and works to resolve issues that arise.

Provides high-level professional and personal support and intervenes as necessary to ensure safety and professional effectiveness.
