Medical Assistant Clinic

The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing both clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers in a fast-paced outpatient clinic. This role helps ensure efficient patient flow, delivers high-quality patient care, and maintains accurate medical records while promoting a positive patient experience.

Clinical Duties

  • Welcome and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
  • Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
  • Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations as directed and within scope of practice.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic point-of-care testing.
  • Clean, disinfect, and prepare examination rooms and medical equipment.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain infection control and safety standards.

Administrative Duties

  • Schedule patient appointments and manage clinic calendars.
  • Verify patient information, insurance, and demographic records.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
