Medical proofreaders play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and credibility of medical communications, often working in pharmaceutical companies, medical publishing, or healthcare organizations.

You may also be required to format the documents and update a tracking system once you complete work. In this role, you use your keen attention to detail to ensure that the medical terminology used is accurate. Some medical proofreaders also work to redact parts of the text that could identify a specific patient so that the report adheres to medical privacy laws.
