As our Proofreader,you'llbe a critical quality checkpoint before creative work reaches our clients and customers. Every email, website, mobile experience, landing page, banner, menu, POP display, sign, and marketing asset that passes through Maverick Studios has a story to tell, and you'll help make sure that story is accurate, polished, andon-brand.

You'llpartner closely with Client Relations & Planning, Creative Services, Digital Production, CRM/Email Operations, Studio Operations, and Brand teams to catch issues before they become problems. From grammar and formatting to pricing, product details, accessibility, and functionality,you'llhelp protect the quality and integrity of the work we deliver across all six Inspire Brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grammar Guardian:Review customer-facing content for spelling, punctuation, grammar, syntax, clarity, consistency, and style. Catch the mistakes others might miss and ensure every piece of content is polished and professional.

  • Brand Protector:Safeguard the voice, tone, terminology, formatting, and standards of six iconic brands, helping every asset feel consistent andon-brandacross channels and customer touchpoints.

  • Offer & Detail Detective:Validateoffers, pricing, product names, SKUs, imagery, timelines, disclaimers, legal language, links, calls-to-action, and other critical details against approved source materials. If somethingdoesn'tadd up,you'llfind it.

  • Quality Checkpoint:Serve as a critical review point throughout the project lifecycle.Confirmrequested changes have been implemented accurately before stakeholder review, production, deployment, or launch.

  • Output Confirmer:Make sure final copy and content align with approved designs, data, briefs, and client-provided inputs across print and digital deliverables.

  • Digital Experience Reviewer:Evaluate websites, mobile applications, emails, landing pages, banners, and digital campaigns for content accuracy, visual consistency, functionality, accessibility, and production readiness. Great experiencesdon'thappen by accident, and neither does great QA.

  • Risk Spotter:Identify, document, and communicate issues before they affect customers, brand standards, compliance, timelines, or campaign delivery. Partner with teams to resolve concerns before theybecomecostly mistakes.

  • Process Builder:Help improve proofreading checklists, documentation, workflows, style guides, and quality standards that make Maverick Studios smarter, more consistent, and more scalable.

  • Deadline Defender:Manage multiple reviews andshiftingpriorities without compromising accuracy or attention to detail.

  • Collaborative Quality Champion:Build trusted partnerships across Creative, Production, Operations, Client Relations, and Brand teams. Provide clear, constructive feedback that helps elevate the work and strengthenthe customerexperience.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: 4 yr degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
3+ in proofreading, copyediting, content review, quality assurance, ora relatedcreative, marketing, publishing, production, or digital environment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSor ABILITIES
  • Experience: 3+ years of proofreading, copyediting, content review, digital quality assurance, content operations, or related experience in an agency, in-house creative studio, marketing, publishing, print, or digital production environment. Retail, foodservice, or merchandising experience is a plus.

  • Language Expertise:Exceptional command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, style, and language usage, including familiarity with AP, Chicago, or comparable editorial conventions.

  • Proofing Skills:Experience with on-screen/PDF proofing and, when applicable, hard-copy review methods. Ability to compare outputs against approved source materials andidentifysubtle inconsistencies.

  • Channel Awareness:Experience reviewing customer-facing content across digital and traditional marketing channels, including web, mobile, email, social, display, print, signage, POP, or related formats.

  • Digital Acumen:Ability to review digital experiences for content, visual, functional, and accessibility concerns and communicate issues clearly to Creative, Product, and Production partners.

  • Brand Fluency:Ability to work across multiple brands and quickly shift between brand voice, terminology, formatting, and campaign requirements.

  • Detail-Obsessed Mindset:You catch thesmall thingsothers may miss, from misplaced punctuation and pricing discrepancies to incorrect SKUs, disclaimers, links, versioning, and timeline details.
