Sr Technical Project/Program Manager
Location: Durham, North Carolina (Partial Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Sr Technical Project/Program Manager to partner with Business Owners and serve as the technical coordination point for complex projects and initiatives. This role involves leading multiple projects concurrently, ensuring deliverables are produced and approved on schedule, and managing allocated resources within scope. The position also requires mentoring team members to foster a high-functioning team in a matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical coordination point for projects and initiatives of high complexity and potentially lead multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ensure deliverables from business and technology partners are produced and approved according to multiple project schedules.
  • Manage allocated resources from multiple delivery partners while working within approved hours and scope.
  • Mentor and provide feedback to team members to create a highly functioning team in a heavily matrixed environment.
  • Lead large-scale, complex programs with multiple concurrent workstreams and demonstrate ownership of program integration.
  • Lead high-visibility initiatives with significant executive exposure.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability, moving beyond project administration to drive results.
  • Operate effectively in ambiguous situations and create structure.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in a related field are required. In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of experience in a related field will be considered.

  • 5-8 years of project/program management experience.
  • Experience leading large-scale, complex programs with multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Demonstrated ownership of program integration across workstreams.
  • Experience leading high-visibility initiatives with significant executive exposure.

  • Evidence of leading, driving, influencing, aligning, and resolving issues.
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability, not just project administration.
  • Able to operate effectively in ambiguity and create structure.
  • Progressive increase in scope, complexity, and responsibility throughout career.

  • Experience working directly with Directors, VPs, and Executive leadership.
