Job description

Job Title: 7on/7off Night Shift Pharmacist – Inpatient Acute Care (Travel Position)
Location: Houghton
Facility: 44-Bed Acute Care Hospital
Employment Type: Travel | W2 | Weekly Pay


Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Pharmacist for a 7on/7off schedule at a 44-bed inpatient acute care hospital in Houghton. This is a travel assignment offering W2 employment with weekly pay. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to work independently overnight, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a hospital setting.

Schedule:

  • 7 nights on / 7 nights off

  • Overnight shifts


Key Responsibilities
  • Review, verify, and dispense medications for inpatient acute care patients

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services and drug information to medical and nursing staff

  • Monitor patient medication therapy for safety, efficacy, and appropriateness

  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient outcomes

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state, and federal regulations

  • Oversee medication preparation, compounding, and distribution processes

  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system


Qualifications
  • Active Pharmacist license (Arizona or eligible for reciprocity)

  • Previous inpatient hospital or acute care experience preferred

  • Ability to work independently during night shifts

  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a travel assignment setting


Travel Requirements
  • Must reside 50 miles or more outside of Houghton to qualify as a travel candidate

  • Ability to commit to assignment duration
