INTERNSHIP TYPE: Internship - Medical Assistant

HOURS/SCHEDULE: up to 40 hours/wk; Monday-Friday, flexible

PROGRAM/LOCATION: Front Office, Willimantic CT

PROGRAM OUTLINE:

By participating as a Medical Assistant Intern with CHR, you can expect to gain firsthand experience and training related to clinical mental health & substance abuse evaluation and treatment, including assisting prescribers to prepare clients for their appointments, document ongoing client progress, submitting and routing lab work as needed, document client progress in areas that involve side effects of medication (BP, wt gain) and more!

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Must be enrolled in a Medical Assistant program.

Experience: Demonstrated experience in mental health treatment preferred but not required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver's license
