The Role

You will have the opportunity to be part of a very special team at one of Canada's most iconic live music venues, the Commodore Ballroom. Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, the Commodore Ballroom has been a cornerstone of the city's entertainment scene since 1929, hosting legendary artists and unforgettable live events. With a capacity of approximately 1,000 guests and a diverse calendar of concerts and special events, the Commodore offers a unique and historic atmosphere for both fans and staff. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-person ticket sales using the Ticketmaster computer systems.
  • Balance and account for credit card receipts from sales transactions.
  • Describe venue layouts and seating locations for our customers.
  • Organize and distribute "will-call" tickets as needed.
  • Maintain exemplary customer service in accordance with Live Nation standards and policies.
  • Utilize strong communication and de-escalation techniques to professionally resolve guest concerns, complaints, and ticketing issues while maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Foster and maintain a positive and team-oriented approach towards colleagues and the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Superior customer service skills (in-person and over the phone) are an asset.
  • Experience with Ticketmaster systems (Archtics & TM Host) is a strong asset, but not necessary as training will be provided.
  • A basic foundation and understanding of event ticketing is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written); proficiency in French is an asset but not required.
  • Understanding basic computer skills and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • General office and/or cash handling experience preferred but not required.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a diverse and ever-changing environment.
  • Highly motivated, proactive self-starter who is able to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • A passion for live events and desire to ensure every customer experience is exceptional!
