Pay Range - $26.00 – $32.00 per hour hour plus benefits
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Evening Shift

About the Role:
Point of Care Lab Technician
Under supervision of Laboratory Manager, performs waived laboratory tests in a remote or mobile setting. Also responsible for monitoring quality of reagents and working condition of instruments.
Essential Functions:
- Receives specimens from phlebotomists and couriers.
- May operate a delivery van to bring the mobile lab to an area of high volume of STAT testing when applicable.
- Enters patient demographics and test orders into lab information system.
- Checks the quality control of each test prior to running and reporting patient results. Ensures QC is within appropriate limits and brings problems to a supervisor/manager in real time.
- Performs lab testing in the areas of point of care which may include Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Molecular and Coagulation.
- Data entry of test results.
- Confirms abnormal results prior to releasing and bring any “rare and improbable” test results to the attention of a supervisor/manager.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to drive safely. [REQUIRED]
- Familiarity with lab process and workflow. [REQUIRED]
- Previous experience with phlebotomy and laboratory testing preferred. [PREFERRED]
- High school degree or equivalent. [REQUIRED]
- Any certification/licensure needed per state requirements. [REQUIRED]
- State of California only – qualify as testing personnel for waived testing, a minimum of licensed medical laboratory technician or licensed vocation nurse. [REQUIRED]
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. [PREFERRED]
- Detail oriented and organizational skills.[PREFERRED]
- Exercises accuracy and precision in completion of prescribed tasks and treatments. [PREFERRED]
- Vaccination against COVID-19 is a requirement for all individuals. Alternatively, those seeking an exemption must submit proper documentation supporting their request. [REQUIRED]
