Requirements
MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Medical Laboratory Technology OR an Associate Degree in Science with a
    major/concentration in Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by a major Certifying Agency.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Driving report from Department of Motor Vehicles must be acceptable to the hospital's liability carrier.

MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must meet one or more of the following requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science,
    • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological science with a "Plus One" concentrated year in Medical
      Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science,
    • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by a major certifying agency such as AMT or ASCP.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Driving report from Department of Motor Vehicles must be acceptable to the hospital's liability carrier.
