Express Lab was founded in 2000 by Dr John E. Liljenquist, MD., who is also the founder of Rocky Mountain Diabetes Center. Dr. Liljenquist and his fellow physicians are nationally renowned diabetes and endocrinology experts.

Express lab continues to be locally owned, and is a full-service, independent laboratory. We provide fast and accurate clinical laboratory testing for patients, healthcare providers, and wellness-minded corporations.

Over the past 20 years, Express Lab has grown in size and volume to that of a regional-hospital laboratory serving clients all over Southern Idaho. Express Lab is known for its customer service, friendly staff, exceptional phlebotomists, and fast turn-around times for medical laboratory results.

Express Lab has two locations in Idaho Falls, in addition to locations in Boise, Pocatello, and Rexburg. With several convenient locations to serve our customers, Express Lab continues to grow and offer excellent local service.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LABORATORY ASSISTANT

As a Laboratory Assistant, you are involved in several aspects of patient care including specimen processing, ordering, inspection and proper placement of samples. You will help create a healing environment by triaging patient and provider calls, creating patient account and performing basic tests. You will help with supply chain management. Your time will be split performing laboratory processing and picking up samples as a courier.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or higher
  • Customer service (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • 18 years of age and able to provide your own vehicle if necessary
  • Clean driving record

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time Laboratory Assistant position typically works 4 10-hour shifts per week Monday-Friday
