General Description:The Content Tutor: Medical Laboratory Assistant cooperatively assist students with various healthcare subjects including but not limited to math, sciences, and writing (as feasible) through instruction and implementing study skills.
Duties and Tasks:
  • Provide tutoring assistance to students as needed
  • Assist ASC Manager in forming specialized study groups as need arises
  • Assign software programs to assist students in various academic programs
  • Distribute information leading to academic improvement
  • Consult with faculty regarding center's resources
  • Research current list of useful Internet resources for student and faculty use
  • Work closely with Tutoring Services Coordinator, academic discipline faculty and staff, and Student Services faculty and staff to provide optimal services to students
  • Provide tutoring services orientation for any willing faculty member

Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
