Job Location: Headquarters in Union City, CA | Regular Travel to Convenience Store Sites 

FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act): Non-Exempt 

Reporting Structure: Director of Loss Prevention and Employee Development 

Salary Range: $23-$25 per hour 

About the Company: 


Vintner's Distributors is the corporate arm for Loop Neighborhood and Poppy Markets, based out of Union City, CA, with stores and stations across California. The company was founded in 1978 and develops real estate and owns and operates gas stations with convenience stores and car washes. Loop Neighborhood Market also has a wholesale division that delivers fuel to dealer locations in the market. 


Position Summary: 

We are seeking candidates who are motivated, accurate, reliable, and efficient customer service-oriented team members. Previous experience working in the inventory service industry preferred but not required.?? 


The position is responsible for counting all physical inventories, generating department audit reports, reconciling computer data with the physical counts taken and reporting on errors/discrepancies found.? You will be responsible for counting inventories at various company convenience stores throughout the SF Bay Area region.


Responsibilities: 

  • Counting physical inventories at company convenience stores across the SF Bay Area region.
  • Using handheld devices (10-key entry or scanners) to enter and verify data accurately 
  • Generating department audit reports and reconciling computer data with physical counts. 
  • Identifying and reporting errors or discrepancies 
  • Maintaining efficiency and accuracy under time-sensitive conditions 
  • Collaborating with the department head to meet strict compliance with loss prevention and auditing standards 
  • Performing additional duties as assigned 

Requirements: 

  • Must be 21 or older. 
  • Must be able to reliably work a full-time schedule. 
  • Available for early morning shifts (12 a.m.-8 a.m.), with occasional evening and weekend work. 
  • Valid driver's license, current car insurance, reliable transportation (within 90-mile radius) and phone required. 
  • Ability to commit to 4-8-hour shifts or until inventory completion. 
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication) and familiarity with SKU/check digit codes. 
  • Convenience store product knowledge a plus. 

Physical Requirements: 

The Inventory Auditor position requires constant standing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching with a moderate amount of manual dexterity, and frequent lifting up to 25 pounds. The Inventory Auditor must be comfortable working in varied environments, which include outdoor areas during hot summer conditions as well as cold indoor spaces, such as walk-in freezers.

  • MAXIMUM 20 GALLONS AND 2 FILL UPS PER WEEK
