The Principal Product Marketing Manager, IO&E Software - Upstream, will lead software strategy and strategic partnerships for the global IO&E franchise. This upstream marketing role will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to develop software offerings that strategically enable the oncology portfolio.
Position requires ~20% travel.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Arbor Lakes, Minnesota office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities include:
  • Represents Global Marketing and the franchise in shaping software strategy for product development, strategic partnerships, or acquisitions; independently develops and presents project investment proposals.
  • Leads upstream marketing for TheraSphere 360 and ablation planning/confirmation software, including market specifications, long-term IO&E software vision, and financial models for value-add revenue streams.
  • Establish relationships and develop co-marketing solutions across companies to accelerate or enable adoption of our technologies and clinical applications.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing and executing software launch plans, value propositions, positioning, customer targeting, pricing, branding, and evidence strategies.
  • Build relationships and strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders to execute critical franchise and business initiatives; regularly engage key stakeholders to drive education, market adoption and innovation of Boston Scientific products.
  • Develop global relationships and build credibility with key internal cross-functional stakeholders, including the IO&E Digital Software & AI team, R&D, project management and clinical.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Strategy & Analysis to lead various market research initiatives that gather customer and market insights to inform key decisions, marketing strategies and execution plans.
  • Identify, track and provide senior leadership with updates on key performance indicators (KPIs) for initiatives; serve as the subject matter expert for assigned products and disease states.
  • Represent Global Marketing and the franchise in developing new concepts for product development and/or acquisition; independently develop and present project investment proposals..
  • Collaborate with downstream marketing on software launches and releases, driving value and adoption to support the needs of the Sales Team.

Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 7+ years' experience in the medical device industry.
  • Experience with software launches and development roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated success working as an integral member of cross functional teams and the ability to develop deep clinical expertise in a medical device product line.
  • Demonstrated success supporting and/or managing complex projects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Master's degree or MBA.
