Job description

Schedule: 9:30am-6:00pm; M-F
Rate: $17.50 per hour

Summary
Process and ship ophthalmic products to customers by scanning inventory, preparing invoices, packaging items, and coordinating shipments through various carriers. This role is critical to ensuring customers receive their vision correction products accurately and on time, directly impacting patient care and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities
    Scan trays from Final Inspection to update system status 
    Print and distribute billing invoices by tray number 
    Wrap glasses/lenses in protective foam with invoices 
    Sort packaged items into designated customer bins 
    Box shipments with appropriate labels and routing 
    Maintain shipping records and coordinate multiple carrier services 
    Return empty trays to Receiving department

Key Skills Required
    Must be able to read prescriptions
    Able and willing to work as a team
    Able to read and write in English, basic proficiency
    Have good eyesight, had/eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail and patience
    Can work independently

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements
    Stand for extended periods throughout shift
    Walk and use hands regularly throughout shift 
    Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. occasionally 
    Perform detailed manual tasks requiring good hand-eye coordination 
    Distance and color vision required 
    Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crawling
