Your Role:
T he EMS Medical Collections Specialist will be in office. They will be responsible for:
  • Work Self Pay aging
  • Analyze accounts insuring Patient Demographics are correct & Insurance has been billed appropriately
  • Call patients to discuss balance, collect payments & set up payment plans as needed
  • Process Return mail
  • Assist in preparing refunds
  • Verify Insurance eligibility via multiple websites
  • Assist with Probate/Estates
  • Problem solving skills
  • Computer knowledge & Excel knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to work in high volume setting
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Keep a professional demeanor when speaking to patients
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years experience in medical collections, billing, or insurance verification required
