This position works in our Engineering and Maintenance Department. Standard schedule is M-F 7:30 to 4, with flexibility based on business need

Responsibilities include:
  • Performs design calculations and prepares equipment or material specifications.
  • Reads design procedures and specifications leading to construction documents.
  • Ability to perform designs using relevant design software.
  • Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
  • Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Evaluate and approve drawings, routings/MI's, specs and other documents.
  • Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives and involves conventional types of plans and specifications.
  • Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables and supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems.
  • May oversee or coordinate the work of designers and other technical support personnel.
  • Establishes and coordinates pipe stress and pipe support requirements for projects in accordance with industry requirements, and performs pipe stress analysis calculations.
  • Follows piping regulatory guidelines, creates detailed work reports, and facilitates communications among other engineers, technicians, materials vendors, and installers.

Applicants should possess the following qualities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5 years' experience in related industry and discipline
  • Experience in the areas of Pressure System Mechanical Integrity, Pressure Drop Calculations, and Fluid Flow Analysis preferred.
  • Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must be competent in producing reports and developing procedures
