Job description

Under the supervision of the Office Manager performs duties as assigned that include communication, receptionist, secretarial and operational duties for Physician Office Practice, while serving as the liaison between the patient, other staff and the physician.

In addition to basic administrative responsibilities, the Admin Assistant III will be expected to perform a number of advanced duties such as department schedules, budget and data analysis and reporting.  Assists in orienting new employees and provides ongoing guidance to other Administrative Assistants within the department to the overall functioning of this front office area, reporting back to and seeking assistance from the Medical Office Manager as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Five or more years’ experience in a customer service or administrative / clerical role required
  • Three years of medical office experience supporting a manager preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • CHAA certification preferred
  • Knowledge of medical coding preferred
