Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Memory Care Unit on a part-time day shift schedule. Position Details

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing, Middlebury, VT
Schedule: Part-Time, 8 Hours per Week
Shift: Days, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
Weekend Requirement: Rotating Weekends

What You'll Do

As a nurse on our Memory Care Unit, you will:

  • Provide skilled nursing care to residents living with memory loss and cognitive impairment
  • Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
  • Support resident safety, comfort, and quality of life
  • Collaborate with nursing assistants, providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Communicate effectively with families and care team members
  • Promote a calm, supportive, resident-centered environment
  • Advocate for residents while maintaining dignity and respect in every interaction
QualificationsRN Candidates
  • Current Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for Vermont licensure
LPN Candidates
  • Current Vermont Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or eligibility for Vermont licensure
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in memory care, long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, rehabilitation, geriatrics, or acute care
