Job description

Florida Dermatology Specialists is a growing private medical practice. We have offices in Port St Lucie, Stuart, and Palm Beach Gardens. FDS is looking for a Supervisor to lead our dynamic medical assistants in all three locations. The right person will align with our core values; Team, Care, Service and Getting Stuff Done. FDS is an employee and patient friendly office with 5 star ratings!
This position is salaried full-time M-F. Our offices are open approx 8am-5pm.
Must be able to travel to all three offices as needed in Port St Lucie, Stuart, and Palm Beach Gardens.
Experience in dermatology is required.
Management experience is required.
Pay commensurate with dermatology and management experience.
The Medical Assistant Supervisor will lead 12-14 Medical Assistants who support both physicians and midlevel providers by performing dermatology medical assistant duties and some administrative duties.
Supervisor duties include:
MA supervisor is a valuable member of the the Operations Team and will attend weekly leadership meetings. Supervisor will lead our strong MA team by hiring, presenting performance improvement plans and annual reviews, train new staff in general derm and surgery, and schedule clinical staff for all three locations. Duties also include daily operations/patient flow and assisting in writing/reviewing clinical protocols and other duties as assigned. MA supervisor will work on the floor at least 50-75 % of the time as a Medical Assistant.
General MA duties Include:
· Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, and document chart
· Prep patient charts prior to appointments
· Prepare and clean rooms for examinations, procedures, and surgery
· Assist physician and midlevel providers in surgery and general dermatology
· Remove sutures and change dressings
· Other medical office duties as assigned.
