(Locations in Mocksville, Statesville, and Hickory) ***


We are seeking a Medical Assistant Float to join our team for the Northern Region locations. The Clinical Medical Assistant Float reports to the Practice Manager / Area Practice Administrator and is responsible for providing high quality competent care across all sites in the organization. Medical Assistant Floats are responsible for understanding and implementing patient care according to organization policy/procedure. The Medical Assistant Float role will require flexibility, strong communication, and may involve innovative working atmospheres to meet patient need. The Medical Assistant Float must demonstrate sound clinical skills and perform without direction. The Medical Assistant Float will be required to complete organizational competency to validate clinical/communication skills and must successfully complete organizational Medication Administration validation.



Responsibilities

1. Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.

2. Coordinating the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and checkout, and patient medical record maintenance.

3. Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.

4. Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.

5. Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.

6. Preparing and administering medications for patients as directed by physicians.

7. Other duties as assigner


Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred formal education in Medical Assistant program.


Certification(s)/Licensure: MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA and Basic Life Support


Required Experience: 2+ years of experience functioning as a Medical Assistant
