Description

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.


Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation: Starting compensation range is $21.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks
  • Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
  • Verifying insurance coverage and processing insurance claims
  • Performing basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
  • Assisting our providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical duties
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
  • Providing patient education and answering patient questions
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and directives
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice
  • Assisting with medical procedures as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred
