Job description

Medical Assistant General

Tryfacta is seeking a Medical Assistant General for our client in Lodi, CA 95240. This is an 8-week contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please apply now!

Location: Lodi, CA 95240

Duration: 8 weeks

Work Schedule: Day Shift/AUTO OFFER 40 hours per

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and stocking exam rooms prior to patient visits.
  • Greeting patients, verifying information, and assisting with check-in procedures.
  • Obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, and patient concerns.
  • Assisting physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and minor procedures.
  • Performing venipuncture and collecting laboratory specimens as ordered.
  • Conducting audiometry and vision screening tests.
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments and maintaining patient recall systems for labs, referrals, and continuity of care.
  • Accurately documenting patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining medical equipment and examination rooms.
  • Ensuring compliance with infection control, safety, HIPAA, and facility policies.
  • Monitoring and reporting significant patient findings or changes in condition to the healthcare provider.
  • Providing patient education and instructions as directed by the provider.
  • Maintaining adequate clinical supplies and assisting with inventory management.
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Performing other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Audiometry and vision screening certification, or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire, preferred.

Previous experience in an outpatient clinic, physician office, or ambulatory care setting preferred.

Proficiency in obtaining vital signs, performing venipuncture, and assisting with patient examinations.

Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and accurate clinical documentation.

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.

Commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.
