Job description

Our busy family medicine practice is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to assist our healthcare team in serving patients with the highest standards of care in our high volume medical practice. If you have prior experience working in a Primary Care Medical Practice setting, we encourage you to apply. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to practice protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to be compromised. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of a busy full scope family medicine medical practice. This position will require you support providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care The goal is to complete all activities accurately in a timely manner.
The Medical Assistants in our office serve patients and visitors by greeting and welcoming them, rooming and documenting all necessary clinical information in the patient's chart and follows up the clinical protocols established. She also checks out patients with visit summary instructions and after visit follow up directions when needed. The Medical Assistant directs patients to appropriate resources, assisting them in scheduling appointments and referrals. Processes Pre-Authorizations with insurance companies and assists patients in scheduling their appointments when necessary. Must have the ability to handle administrative and clinical duties in a very busy environment which may include but are not limited to answering phones, making appointments, triaging calls, patient screening and brief assessment of problems, medication review, obtaining full vital signs, Urinalysis, EKG, A1C, scanning and obtaining prior authorizations.

Bilingual in English and Spanish/Portuguese
