Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our experienced Quabbin Pedi team in Palmer, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Baystate Health, Medical Assistants perform an important role providing care to our patients. They take vital signs, perform patient intake and history, clinical orders, procedures, documentation and patient discharge. Our supportive work environment allows you to provide optimal patient care.

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday
  • 8-4:30pm
  • NO weekends, NO holidays

  • 40 Wright St
  • Palmer, MA

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association

LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

MAI & MAII- requires graduate of accredited MA program Or minimum of 3 years current relevant medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting. (evaluated by hiring manager for level hiring for)

MAIII- requires graduate of accredited MA program with minimum of 3 years' current medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting OR demonstrated competencies of MA III (evaluated by hiring manager) with minimum 5 years' current relevant medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting

MAIV- Only through promotional career ladder internally. Minimum of two years as an MAIII at a Baystate Health with demonstrated competencies for promotion to MA IV. Graduate of an accredited MA program and registered/certified by a third-party credential body.

The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. Compensation

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
