This position is located in a hospital setting, providing a fast-paced yet rewarding atmosphere where multidisciplinary teams work cohesively to enhance the quality of life for patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and other physical conditions. Operating Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the role may occasionally require flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of our patients and clinic operations.

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, ensuring adherence to established treatment plans.
• Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises aimed at relieving pain, restoring function, and maximizing mobility.
• Instruct patients on techniques related to muscle reeducation, gait training, and functional movement.
• Administer physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to aid in recovery and pain management.
• Monitor and document patient progress, relaying any relevant information or changes in condition to the supervising physical therapist.
• Educate patients and their families in the utilization and care of adaptive equipment, such as wheelchairs, braces, and orthotic devices.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and contribute to ongoing communication within interdisciplinary teams.
• Engage in quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives to elevate service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Participate in training and development programs, expanding your skill set and knowledge base.
• Other duties as assigned to enhance team objectives and patient satisfaction.

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work primarily with a diverse adult patient population with a wide range of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. This role is pivotal in helping patients regain independence and improve their overall quality of life through tailored rehabilitation approaches.

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an Associate’s degree in science or applied science approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Active state certification or licensed status in California.
• Current CPR certification to ensure that safety protocols are maintained.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain personal auto insurance as per state requirements.

• A minimum of two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient documentation and communication.

The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
