As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work onsite in a hospital facility where the dynamics of patient care are both fast-paced and rewarding. • Assist physical therapists in the execution of individualized treatment plans that align with patients' recovery goals.
• Deliver direct patient care, including but not limited to therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and mobility training sessions aimed at enhancing functional abilities.
• Educate patients on proper exercise techniques to promote safety and effectiveness during rehabilitation.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, providing detailed reports to supervising therapists to track advancement and modify treatments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records in our electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure compliance and facilitate seamless communication within the care team.
• Uphold a safe and comfortable environment for all patients during therapy sessions, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary clinical team to enhance treatment effectiveness and support positive patient outcomes.
• Help educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies, empowering them in their rehabilitation journey.

Your primary focus will include patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, various injuries, and those dealing with musculoskeletal disorders. You will interact mainly with adults but may also provide care to adolescents and elderly patients requiring physical rehabilitation tailored to their unique needs. Your ability to understand and empathize with their conditions will enhance their recovery experience.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• Valid and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Nevada.
• Proficiency in therapeutic exercise techniques, rehabilitation protocols, and a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Strong collaborative abilities to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) to maintain organized and up-to-date patient documentation.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a PTA in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with hospital protocols, patient care standards, and relevant therapeutic methodologies.
