Join our dedicated team at Joint Relief Therapy Services as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Work Environment

This position is based in our hospital outpatient clinic in Pahrump, a community known for its peaceful atmosphere and supportive healthcare environment. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing our staff to maintain a balanced work-life schedule. As a PTA, you will work onsite, interacting closely with patients and contributing directly to their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries and surgeries.
  • Deliver hands-on therapy, which includes therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and mobility training tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Instruct patients on correct exercise techniques and the proper use of therapeutic equipment to enhance safety and efficacy.
  • Continuously monitor patient progress, providing verbal updates to the supervising therapist to ensure treatment outcomes are on track.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our electronic health records (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Prioritize the safety and comfort of patients during all therapy sessions, fostering an environment of trust and support.
  • Collaborate effectively with the clinical team to address patient concerns and promote optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise regimens and recovery strategies to extend the benefits of therapy beyond the clinic.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be engaging with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Each patient will present unique challenges and needs, allowing you to apply your clinical skills in a dynamic and rewarding setting. The ability to connect with patients empathetically is vital to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Nevada.
  • Proven proficiency in therapeutic exercise techniques, as well as relevant rehabilitation protocols.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital environment, specifically working with post-surgical patients, is a plus.
