Position Summary

The Medical Assistant is a key member of the clinic team, responsible for creating a welcoming environment, reducing wait times, and ensuring patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA. This role supports practitioners during patient visits, manages clinic operations, and delivers high-quality healthcare experiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist practitioners by rooming patients, collecting history, and recording vital signs and specimens.
  • Prepare, administer, and provide educational materials for vaccination services.
  • Deliver consistently high-quality medical services and patient experiences.
  • Maintain clinical knowledge and counseling skills to improve health outcomes.
  • Multitask between front desk, waiting area, and exam rooms.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, take messages, and provide accurate information.
  • Support operational excellence to maximize workflow, patient experience, and quality standards.
  • Manage patient check-in processes courteously and efficiently.
  • Provide information on insurance co-payments, billing, and service charges.
  • Order and maintain supplies; perform point-of-care (POC) testing controls.
