Job description

Medical Assistant

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently hiring a Medical Assistant for a 6–7 month temporary assignment with the potential for an extension and the opportunity to be considered for a full-time position with our client.

Location: Beaumont, CA 92223
Pay Rate: Up to $24.30/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting physicians and delivering exceptional patient care in a busy outpatient clinical setting. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, compassionate, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients and collect vital signs, chief complaints, and medical histories.

  • Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Review medications, allergies, and complete health risk screenings.

  • Assist providers with clinical procedures, including injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and other patient care activities.

  • Prepare and clean exam rooms, instruments, and medical equipment according to established protocols.

  • Manage patient phone calls, messages, scheduling support, and other administrative duties.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation while following clinical policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.

  • Experience obtaining vital signs and documenting patient information.

  • Ability to assist with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and routine clinical procedures.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and patient service skills.

  • Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a pulmonology practice.

  • Experience with Epic EMR.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
