We are seeking a highly organized and customer-oriented individual to fill the role of a Front/Back Office Per Diem Floater. You will be responsible for providing excellent patient care by assisting physicians and healthcare professionals with both administrative and clinical tasks. The Front/Back Office Medical Assistant will be responsible for managing front desk duties, including patient appointments, registration, as well as performing clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood samples, or injections, and preparing patients for examinations.

Responsibilities:

Front Office Duties:- Greet and assist patients in a welcoming and professional manner.- Schedule appointments, make reminder calls, and manage the appointment calendar.- Register patients by collecting vital information, and medical histories.- Gather necessary authorization for treatments or procedures.- Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and provide accurate information.- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, fax communications, and maintain a clean reception area.

Back Office Duties:- Escort patients to examination rooms, ensuring their comfort and privacy.- Take and record patient vital signs, measurements, and medical history information.- Prepare patients for examination or treatment by the healthcare provider.- Assist with basic medical procedures, including blood draws, EKGs, or administering medications or injections as directed by the healthcare provider.- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, stock supplies, and ensure equipment is properly sterilized.- Accurately document patient information and maintain electronic health records (EHR) or paper-based files as required.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a new graduate or seasoned Medical Assistant. This position is Per Diem, meaning your schedule and hours will fluctuate depending on the needs of the clinic.

Responsible for assisting clinicians in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides front and back office support.
  • Greets patients in a friendly, service oriented manner in compliance with COMP medical practice protocols and workflows.
  • Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled, patient data is current, appropriate paperwork is in order, and charts are reviewed/prepared.
  • Interviews patient measures vital signs and records reason for the visit.
  • Explains procedures performs treatments and administers prescribed medication.
  • Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting pertinent information for their follow-ups if applicable, ensuring paperwork is complete.
  • Schedules and confirms the patient's appointments.
  • This is a summary of a day to day. Other duties as needed.

Requires a high school diploma minimum of one year of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Medical Assistant certification from an accredited school of training.
