Job description

Medical Administrative Assistant LHH is looking for a friendly and organized Patient Information Coordinator (PIC) who will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and seamless billing process for patients during their hospital stay. This position will involve a mix of administrative work, patient interactions, and system updates to assist with verifying insurance and demographics, while minimizing confusion around billing. Key Responsibilities: • Handle the first step of the billing process for patients during their hospital stay/visit. • Confirm patient demographics and introduce the Apogee billing system to patients. • Verify insurance and enter patient information into the system. • May have some in-person patient interactions to clarify details and ensure the accuracy of the information provided. Qualifications: • 6 months to a year of relevant experience in an administrative or patient-facing role (entry-level candidates are welcome). • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9 & ICD-10 codes is helpful, especially for entering information into the system. • Experience working in a hospital or administrative healthcare setting is a plus. Additional Requirements: • Must provide proof of immunization records or have a titer drawn. Details: • Type: Temp to Hire. Will be made a permanent employee if they are a good fit. • Schedule/Hours: 5:00 am - 1:00 pm **Rotating holidays and weekends (usually every other weekend and holiday)** • Pay Rate: $19/hr • Location: The role is located in an office within a hospital in Johnstown, PA. The PIC will be working alongside hospital staff to ensure efficient patient information management.
